Jeremy Smith

Jeremy has spent more than 30 years working in financial services.

A career of three decades includes time spent as head of compliance at two large networks, as risk and compliance director at three large firms and working as a consultant to the Financial Conduct Authority on complex cases.

As co-director at B-Compliant, Jeremy is primarily responsible for onboarding new clients. Thanks to his extensive experience and hands-on approach, he can identify practical solutions that are specific to clients’ needs, then put those solutions in place. Jeremy also supports other consultants with larger clients and carries out compliance duties for a small number of his own clients as well.

Jeremy holds the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning qualification.

Outside of work, Jeremy likes to be outdoors after a week spent in the office, which includes walking his and Vicky’s two spaniels or gardening. Jeremy also loves going on holiday and enjoys live music – though his tastes are stuck in the 1980s and 1990s…
